    I say,
That's a beautiful guitar! Watched your youtube last week. You play so much better than I do, it's very embarrasing for me. You are Great.
The guitar. It certainly doesn't sound "thin" to me. Do you have a tube amp? You deserve one if you don't have one yet.
Remember, you don't necessarily need a more expensive guitar. Jimmy Page used an old Telecaster to begin Led Zeppelin with (he kept his Gibson Black 3pu Custom at home!). And Jimi Hendrix started with an old Airline or Silvertone "cheapy." Billy Gibbons can make a crappy guitar sound great.

    Hi

A quick update - I have started loving that Red Nav, it's a fabulous guitar and now I want to buy another one which should be a better than this.

I'm going for the Navigator LP 250 being sold by a Danish. It has a Veneer top and that's the only issue. Otherwise, as far as I perceive it's a very nice guitar.

I have put on the video of Red Navigator on youtube. Say what ?

    Regards
    Vaibhav
P.S: I am not buying Gibson and Edwards, it's just that I was getting a good deal on them.

Veneer has such a small effect on tone, it's probably not even detectable. Tone is all on how a particular guitar sounds. Many people will play every guitar in a store, and still not find the one they were looking for. No two Gibson Les Paul guitars are identical, then apply that to all the many different companies making "Les Paul" type guitars, and you have quite a few variables to consider. I believe you had better find one that sounds as close as possible to what you want, and keep it. Maybe some day you can plan a trip to a country that has a guitar store that carries a large amount of guitars that you can try. I think that is the only way you will ever find your "dream" guitar. That would probably be the two Gibson Retail Centers in, I think Tennesse USA. I have heard "Elderly Guitars" is a wonderful store, as is "Mannys" in NYC. You will need to have $6,000.00 USD to play with, I think. You should be able to find the guitar you have been looking for all your life with that amount of money.
I sincerely hope the Edwards and Gibson guitars you've purchased are winners. You WILL KNOW, once you play them. You are looking for the guitars to "resonate" (you should feel the vibrating of the guitars when strummed) and at least be able to produce 20 seconds of "sustain". And of course that "mellow" that you have been looking for.
    Good Luck, V!

    Hello dear.
I did a lot research on MIJ guitars and finally came across these deals in Japan.
How does the tone of Edwards gets effected by veneer on Solid Maple top ?

You do not need my help. You are the "deal maker"! It sounds like you will use the Edwards to play in clubs with, and keep the Gibson at home. Is that your plan? How did you get such a great deal on these two guitars? Please tell me!

    Hello Tonebone

    Thank you for the inputs.
I'm getting new Edwards ELP 130 LTS for $800 and used 97' Gibson Les Paul standard for $1300 from Japan. The Edwards has a Laminated top and I have my doubts on it.
I happened to play one Gibson LP special with all Mahogany which sounded very warm and woody to me.

Actually, I am looking for a mellow and a good range guitar.
what do you think and suggest ?
