Hi Worm! I'm a young man learning recording and mixing, I noticed that you have great experiences on analog recording, I hope you can share some with us if that's ok, you know, I'm lack of analog experiences, and that's very important even in digital world. But I got a few tricks on digital recording and mixing, if you have any problem, feel free to ask me, it will be my pleasure to help you!
And congrats on the computer thing, sir!

Hey, Worm. I was reading your thread about the Zoom & Audacity. I'm thinking really hard about getting the Zoom R8. Reading your thread put me at ease. I'm pretty good on computers but I haven't found any software that I like to use yet. I'll definitely try Audacity. I also noticed you're in Texas. What part of Texas, if you don't mind my asking? I live in Vinton, LA which is about 5 miles from the Texas border heading into Orange, TX.

    Request accepted. . .

We're heading home tomorrow so I'll be back to my precious around dinner time tomorrow.

I see you were a Scout/Sniper. Do you still do any distance shooting? I haven't had the time in a couple of years, but I used to compete as a distance shooter/sniper. I won the 2001 Nova Scotia Provincial Sniper Championship (beat the Canadian National Champ at that one. .I had one of those rare days where I couldn't miss.) life took over at that point and it was either make my wife and kids range orphans or be a father. I think I chose well.

I got back into music about 3 years ago and switched from drums to guitar. (I was a drummer in my gigging days in the 80's) Now I'm on that tone quest roller coaster trying to scratch that tonal itch in my head that's slowly driving me nuts (well, more nuts to be honest. )

    Have a good one Wade!

    Barry
