To be honest i am probably the worst person in the world to build you a pedal board, becuase i have had that sheet of metal sitting in my room for 5 years...i know its pittyfull, but thats the truth. i had the idea about a year before i even got the metal.
I also noiced you live in the states and i live in the uk, so shipping would also be a nightmare.
On the plus side, checker or chequer plate is not expensive and most places you buy it from will put a bend in it for you. After that you just need do get yourself some D handles and you are pretty much there. I used a circular saw drill bit to cur big enough holes through the metal and used electricians bits (I dont know what they are called, but you can get them from any hardware store).
The best invention on the board is the pedal locks, i purchased them from a guy on here named Emil. His user name ie ehamady, $15 + postage i think, he sent me plenty of them too. He sells them to the forum users.
Hi Switchback, Thanjks for your reply, but in the meantime i have actuall gone out and purchased it now. I demo'ed it in the shop and was impressed enough to buy it. Infact, i was that impressed i am am in the coming months converting to from a long time marshall user to a blackstar amp user. Their equiptment is phenominal. I play a 1 watt head and it sounds absolutly amaizing, i sujest you try if you havent already. As for the vox pedal, i wouldnt have been able to use that because i am currently building a pedalboard and it wouldnt hve fitted on the board, Plus i have some boss stomp box's for all my effects. I did however check a couple of youtube reviews and it seems quite impressive.
Thanks for your help, and i will be sure to show you some pics of my new board in a couple of days whe its finished, boasting my new HT Dual.
Hi there, I saw a picture of your pedalboard in the pedalboard thread.
I was wondering if you could share your opinions on the Blackstar HT Dual with me?
I have amarshall mode four MF350. I purchased it years ago based on looks rather than sound, and i have regretted it ever since. Anyway, I have read mixed reviews about this pedal, but aparantly it gives a real nice tube amp sound. I will get myself down to a guitar store as soon as i can to test it out myself, but would like to hear your thoughts if possible.
