Hi St Bede - I've been away from the computer most of the weekend - Saturday & Sunday the kids pretty much own me! I've actually just replied in the thread - I think I may have run on a bit & lapsed to rambling, but there is a point to it burioed in there!

I meant it some of those tones were killer. The Wah face thing was about a thread i started about how it's almost impossible to play a wah without making the face.

Colleges are run by old hippies who rallied against the establishment. Now THEY are the establishment and want everyone to think like they do, and do not tolerate critical thinking. They do not tolerate anyone who has discretion and is critical of their paradigm.

Well, I think we should PAY the teachers more, and put much less into administration. There is no reason why a beginning teacher should not earn $50K a year. And if they do not perform, they should be fired. I think that EVERYONE's job should be based on performance. I am not against Unions in general, however. But I really do not have much faith in the Dept of Education, or many other Depts for that matter.
Kids should NOT be taught to pass standardized tests, they should learn critical thinking. I think they all need a well rounded education, and that includes Physical Education and the arts. Most school's descretionary budget is allocated to sports, because it leads to revenue. For some reason more people are willing to pay for sports, but not the arts or education in general. I would not walk across the street to see a football, basketball, baseball game, but I would drive across town to see a stage performance or a choir, or even individual sports like gymnastics or tennis.

It's working really well for me. When I have a bit more time, I'm going to try to test it for losses - but so far, so good! Glad you appreciate the idea, hope it opens a door for you, too.
