Thanks, bud. I'm leaving it as is, after playing it for a week or so. It came with some WCR Fillmores in it, and surprisingly it has a really good early Ace tone to it that I don't want to mess with. The best way to describe it is a lot of crunch (not mush) when playing chords, and very bright/defined single note tone when playing lead. Very Alive!-ish...It cuts through the mix, for sure...
It's a 1996 Standard; so far, all I've done is remove the "Standard" truss rod cover and bought some Grover Rotomatics for tuners. It came with some Planet Wave locking tuners. They work well, but I just don't want them on here. I thought long and hard about putting some Kluson's on just to get the "early" look of Ace's tobacco burst, but went for function over fashion (so to speak).
