I don't know what you're looking for regarding amps, but I just got a Peavey Classic 30 and absolutely love it. 30w tube power, two channels, reverb, 12" speaker that puts out plenty of volume (more than enough for full volume band practices) - it has replaced my Laney stack for practices and jam sessions, and doesn't leave me feeling lacking in the slightest. It has some great warm tones, some decent crunch (very bluesy), and does well with overdrive pedals if you need some "metal" distortion. I'm not an expert or guru by any means, but the Classic 30 is one hell of a great amp, particularly for the money (although I do suggest using a "Tom's Tube Tamer" to eliminate tube rattle, and forum member Danelectro's "Tube Guard" for extra tube protection - both aftermarket parts that can be found on ebay for about $50 total - well worth the $$ IMO). It is a very versatile amp overall - excels at blues, but handles hard rock and metal with the use of pedals and does a good job of it.
