Hey Ryan,
just my thoughts here. We are argueing over a Fender Champion 600! That amp has a crappy speaker, crappy transformer and all of the other componeants in it are... Crap!!!! Of course this is why I am PM'ing you, I don't want to insult the members here who have one of these things. I am pretty sure people get these things not really for the best tone, but so they can get a cheap ass tube amp. Yes, I am a bit of a snob. Short of getting a kit from Mercury and a new speaker, changing a preamp tube is the best way to make these things sound any better, I just think we should make it easy on this kid. He doesn't know the difference between a tube and a metal cover. If he tries biasing on his own, he will electrocute himself and die!
Now, me not knowing dick on how to bias only wishes you lived near the Cleveland area so I can mess with the power tubes on my Swart and Egnater!
