Please spare a thought for EOD Gary O`Donnell (42),a Father of 4.A great Soldier,he showed no fear in any situation, and strived to ensure the safety of countless men in the regular Armed Forces,i was lucky enough to know him, a true Friend.Gary was killed by an IED yesterday. Also,i want to take this chance to thank everyone that has sent me messages of support here at MLP.We were scheduled for today off (it`s Sunday 00.30 here) but that has been cancelled. We have been tasked to a 3 day mission into an extremely hostile area to the eastern section of Afghanistan (just when we thought we had time off LOL) Without doubt, this will be the biggest Fight we have had in weeks. So,to the Guys that are always happy to know we`ve made it back,if you don`t hear anything by Tuesday Night,LOL,i guess i`m slotted. If it goes to plan, they`ve given us 3 Days,we would hope to be home in 2.That obviouslty depends on how many Hostiles we actually encounter.

Hi Dave yes those are the ones.I used a Medium Grade.Your best bet is to do the neck first, just to give you an idea of how much pressure you need to apply.Although saying that, the secret to getting it right is to not rush, just let the Sander do the work, you don`t need too much pressure. If you need to know anything else, just give me a shout mate.

I've been searching for the abrasive pads you used for the poly refinish, it looks like there is a kit that has coarse and fine -

Here's what I found - is this right?

Ace - Ace Tree: Paint: Sandpaper & Steel Wool: Power Sanding: Black & DeckerŪ Mouse™ Scrubbing Kit (74-582)

Then I found this one -

Ace - Ace Tree: Paint: Sandpaper & Steel Wool: Power Sanding: Black & DeckerŪ Mouse™Polish/Stripping Wool (74-588)

Is your gray pad the first kit or the second - don't want to overdo it on my CSB!! You can post here or to me at dak270@yahoo.com. Thanks for your time!

PS - I'll post this info to your thread depending on which one is the proper one - can't wait to redo my pawn shop find!

Rich - to answer your question over at my profile, yes, I swapped out the caps on both of my Elitists and my R8 to Sprague Vitamin Q .022's. The tonal improvement is undeniable - the Vitamin Q's even make my R8 sound better than the repro "bumble bees" that the Gibson Custom Shop uses in the Historics.
