Not odd if the air mass that is moving in has a lower temperature and lower humidity intrinsic to it. If you assume that you are in a static air mass that is dropping temperature through radiative cooling, then yes the humidity should go up.

I wouldn't consider that a major drop in humidity! I posted in that thread as well.
