I love wine-red. I would say it might be worth 9 to 11oo I don't really know. Post with the Big Boys on the main MLP forum. They Know everything. It would be nice to get a 2000. 11 years of settling and drying out. Good luck on bid!

Hey Red,It is known as an effects chain.Normally you plug a cord into your amp and then into pedal and then amp. Normally you would hook them together like this. amp>over-drive>into guitar. If you use a delay - amp-delay-over-drive-guitar> there are no set rules. I usually go straight into the amp. My amp has an Over-drive channel built in. The gain knob controls the amount of distortion. I like my guitar to still sound like a guitar so I set gain on 4 to give it "balls". The more gain you give it the more the guitar sounds like a chainsaw. The metal guys you know love that shitty chainsaw tone. I have great guitars > I want to hear my guitar not static. I love fuzz pedals. They do crap up your sound in a good way. Check out my thread in effects.GIve Me Fuzz Or Give Me Death for examples. Satisfaction by Stones is a great fuzz guitar. If you buy an amp with one channel you will need a distortion or overdive pedal to get cool 'dirty' guitar!

Hey Red, Sounds great you need an electric. Valvekings have gotten good reviews. It is hard to go wrong with a tube amp. My Koch Kills. Every guitar I play sounds meaty+rich through it,even my Strat! My Koch is an older one 2000. They now make a multi-tone which has 3 channels. It would be worth it if you can get a used one for maybe $1200-1400. It is alot but you hear it SCREAM on my vids. It makes a hack like me sound good!
I hope it comes through for you. A used LP studio would rock! Get a Classic Vibe tele for $300 and you got Page tone! Led zep 1 was all Tele and it sounds great! It shows what a great amp will do for you. I thought it was a Les Paul! I know you love Jimi but you need a Strat for that! Strats are a different beast! I love my Strat but I got lucky. Teles+Lespauls are a great match! Good luck.

Glad you like the vids. That Sg was SMOKIN. I was straight into that Koch. No need for pedals with that beast!

Red I don't play covers much. I writre my own songs. Try it it is easy. Don't over think it. Just bash chords. It will come to you. For covers I look at tab for chord structure and key of solo, and then I butcher it.Mini-hums are a strange pup. Most guys don't dig them. They replace them with p90s becaues they fit in without routing the guitar. I have never played a mini. I do own a KILLER hamer gold top w/ p90's. They scream. They are better dirtyIMO,more character. what type of tone do you want? Hit me back!

teles and pauls go together. I bought two last year. They feel great in your gut. You saw my ESP Ron wood on video. It has a humbucker in the neck<that screams! I own a cool strat. I am learning to play it. They do feel very strange! You will know when you have the right guitar in your hands. It will play like "butter">You can get a great Tele for under a grand(used). The Classic Vibe teles are great. They are $350! They are already routed for a neck humbucker if you want to drop one in! P90s are Mean. they don't sound good clean.Overdriven they are GOD. Think James Gang Funk #49 or Mountains' Miss. Queen!
