Not quite... all these new phones require new contracts, so let's say you went in there to buy a new android 4g today.. it'd be $200 + new 2 year contract..but you just locked in that unlimited contract. VZW will go tiered in the summer, so once they have that tiered plan, you will NOT get unlimited 4G.. maybe only unlimited 3G if you decide to buy a new phone at the full retail price and retaining your current contract terms.

You said Verizon was getting tiered in summer? Does that mean if I use 3G and have unlimited, I won't have to worry about upgrading to 4G later?
