The Jr should get you through, although, I'd recommend the head if you can afford getting a cab for it. You could consider trading, or selling the Mustang 1 and using the funds to get the VJ.

I'd say to look into a Trinity or Ceriatone 18 watter. They have a proven track record and sound great. Me particularly, I don't like Master Volumes on Marshall/style amps. So much tone is lost from the stack that takes away from that true Marshall tone. That's why I plan to build an 18 watter from a kit, with no master volume. When you do get your amp, whether it's the VJ or an 18 watter, you can go with a good fuzz pedal for some bite, and you can get a clean boost pedal. Take a look at the Fulltone Fulldrive 2 Mosfet pedal. It's a clean/boost pedal. There's some good Youtube vids on it too. You can check those out. Also, Guitar Fetish has similar pedals. And they're really cheap too. You can check those out as well.

Thanks for the reply Phil. Hope all is going well on your end. I was looking into the Epi junior combo just to get me threw. I currently have a fender mustang 1 and i not a fan of it. too much going on. I have my sites set on the H&K Tubemeister 18 but supply is lacking and sounds like it will for a while. Since I had the fender with all the effects I dont own any pedals yet. What do you recommend as my first to go with a tube amp. I like to tinker so I may just go for the JR just to have something to play with because i love modded stuff

Hey Phil Wanted to ask you what your thought are on the epiphone junior amp you got pictured? Is that the combo or just the head. I heard good n bad on them and i also see fender has a similar amp at similar price. I was thinking about getting one..Regards Dave
