    hi Phil

I just got the books for rockschool and in the performance pieces I notice that there is no tab for the guitar solo parts ? do you have to make your own up or tab out what they play in the cd ?

hey some one mention you teach in the UK in my RGT thread and that you can probs help me on this question:

I need some clarification on the rhythm part of the RGT exam, when they give you a chord chart above it does it tell you how to play it i.e. moderate, fast tempo, lively, with movement etc in the exam.

I ask this because in the grade books the chord chart has these above them ...

You can find the thread here : http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/back...gt-grades.html

I just found out, that Jim Marshall (amps) opened his first store within a stone throw from where my dad lived. It was just around the corner from that community centre (Hanwell) where Deep Purple and The Who used for rehearsals. Then shortly afterwards JM opened his first factory in Hayes down the road. I used to work across street from it (not sure if it was still there though lol). Geez all this time and I never knew! Hendrix even had a house in Hanwell (W7).. I wonder what took them all around that way.
I'm part of a group for former residents of that area, I'm gonna ask around to find out some interesting history (Blackmore, Marshall etc) from those that actually knew them, with pics if poss lol)

Ain't much going on here either, Phil, unless you're living in a major city.... and I gotta say, I've got no real urge to do that! Eugene is an okay city to live in, as far as cities go... There's a huge amount of music, theater, and art in general here. But we've also got our share of crackheads, rednecks, and gang bangers.

There is actually a redneck area of town, I had no idea! Eugene is mostly known for its hippies, but we got lost in the car about a month ago and found ourselves in a strange neighborhood. Suddenly there were no Priuses parked in the driveways, but giant pickup trucks and horse trailers. There were tiny yards fenced off with chickens and other animals running around in them. I looked at my wife and said, "We need to get the fuck out of here before we get shot or raped!" Thought I heard banjo music for a second...

Great posts, Phil. Would you happen to have any info on immigrating to the UK?
