Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I just now found your message.

I too was lucky to get mine at a huge discount, 50% of List from an authorized dealer in Atlanta, GA. The guitar is the best Strat I've ever owned. I've had at least 5 American Strats over a 20 year period including an Eric Johnson. The CS MB kills the EJ. I am very pleased with mine however, had I paid MAP or MAP less 10%, I probably would not be so happy.

I have a few questions remaining though.. if you don't mind me asking

I absolutly love my standart 08', but i've been wondering how could I get a Slash sound to it. I currently have two humbuckers (i think ;p) and am thinking of putting seymours in or a p-90, what are your thoughts on this ?

Well, what can I say, maybe the Rory is one of the best 60's strat that I've played ! My favorite of course is my 68 Original, but the Rory is very close, smooth sounding, great neck, great feel, she is the closest to the 68.

FYI, I have a 68 Custom Shop, a Limited Edition one and much more expensive than the Rory and honestly the Rory sounds and feels much better, like a real old guitar, while the 68 CS is more ear piercing, , harder to play, more like a new guitar. I think the lack of painting is the key for that guitar.
