"Have you ever found a usable one with your blues-deluxe?"
I tend to use my ts9 with that amp, but when I get a chance I will throw a few pedals in front of it and see what I think....I really need to retube the amp right now and I have not been playing any gigs since last year so it has been just sitting around (I am mainly playing my Marshall bluesbreaker...and haven't recorded anything that makes me think that would be my first choice....but, that amp is my tried and true gig amp and has seen a lot of action...)

I'd say closer to a blues deluxe (think it even originated from people requesting a higher powered version of that amp, hence the name). Mine has a celestian V30 and I think that warms it up abit, but is still a very bright amp. Sounds a bit like an ice-pick with a treble boost. I used to have a treble boost when I used a marshall combo, and a mate uses one on his plexi and it sounds amazing. So it is tempting to try and find one that works. Maybe a dark-sounding treble booster is an oxymoron however and I should just get a boost?
Have you ever found a useable one with your blues-deluxe?
Thanks for your comment.

regrading tone heaven: "all the treble boost posts have really started me hankering for one again! never found one that works with my fender though!"
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.....I have not played one (but I own a princeton, blues deluxe, and have played many other.....) my princeton is a bit dark so my Analog Man Beano Boost
works great....so, is the hot rod more like a twin(65)/princeton/deluxe reverb [darkish]...or...blues deluxe/(post cbs 70s)twin [brightish]
I hope that helps....next time I get a chance to play hot rod I will...
