Hello - I've got it started and well underway actually thanks to much assistance from all the build threads around here



I can imagine the armed forces would take up a fair amount of time for guitar building Maple burl would make a damn fine looking instrument though - a bass would be interesting; any shape ideas? I'll see if I can find the build thread with that pic. Cheers

Hey, I just wanted to check in with you and see if you had started on your spalted build yet. I haven't been able to do a thing since I finished my last build. I'm with the Canadian Armed forces and so that tends to take up a fair bit of my time right now. The good thing is I have 6 3 inch slabs of Maple Burl that have been drying for 2 years now. There's a pic somewhere in my build thread of one of 'em. I've been thinking on a fretless 5 string bass with that one.........
