Nick, I hope you don't mind me picking your brain. I've really enjoyed your build threads, and want to build an LP copy, something similar to a '59. Your work is insiring.
I live near BCRGreg, and got the "bug" when he showed me one that he did. I'm not a real woodworker, but have some experience. I was a toolmaker for 30+ years and have some craft skills.
My questions are:
Where did you find such nice mahogany?
How thick should the top blank be? ( Is 7/8" enough?)
I see you mentioned John Catto when explaining the process of angling/tapering the top.I have a plan by him, but it is only a front view with no side detail or dimensions,and no neck plans at all. Do you know if one is available?
