Yeah the 18w is as pure as "tone" can ever get, I reckon. If I was in a gigging blues band or had a big space in which to practise, I would not even consider getting rid of it!

The fact is that I live in a small flat in London and the neighbours have been round a few times, telling me to shut up. I get most of my sound from a great British Overdrive pedal from Tonerider (check it out, I got mine for £30 and it is FANTASTIC), so I reckon just having a small 5w amp is best really...
