Yea...I used Calcium Hypochlorite, which is strong chlorine bleaching agent. It's the stuff that yu would use to "shock" your swimming pool. You can get it at any swimming pool supply store. just ask for calcium hypochlorite and they will know exactly what you want...there are many different "brand" names...comes in a plastic bag...you just mix it with water until the water becomes saturated...which means that the water can not dissolve any more...take a rag or old t shirt and dip it in the solution and wipe onto the wood and let it soak in...wipe off the excess and let it sit for a little while and the water will evaporate...let it dry. you should probably have to do it a couple times and you will begin to notice the difference. It's really simple and effective. Your BFG body looks to have a decent looking top on it and I think it would turn out great...I'd almost take you up on it because it looks like it could be a cool projectI . Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hey, you bleached the top on your standard faded refin, right?

Do you mind if I ask what did you use and how did you do it?
