Actually, I hear it not as an "accent" but the opposite, kind of a "hole" - I'm no engineer, but the ones I know toss around terms like "notches" and "spikes", when they talk about frequencies and eq, and I may have misused the terms. Whether one or the other would work for particular styles is a question that's beyond me. I think that part is up to the player! They both are much better sounding bridges, in my limited experience, than a stock Nashville. Good luck!

I've never tried, nor, to my recollection, have I said anything about the Faber. I do have a Callaham steel ABR-1 and a Pigtail aluminium ABR-1, and I like them both. I've tried them both on an older 335. They both seem to broaden the frequency range of the guitar compared to the original Nashville: better low end, more interesting and richer high end. Really difficult to describe the difference between the Pigtail and the Callaham; I'd have to say my particular Pigtail, on this particular guitar, is a bit more even through the upper midrange, while my particular Callaham sounds like there's a bit of a "notch" in the upper mids. The Callaham Nashville conversion studs are just great.
