Here is the result of Flroians work...after some breaking in he finally printed the Les Paul model words on the headstock (back after the new nitro finish)...
and worked over one fret which caused a slight dead spot in the b string 19th fret before and finally everything is finished

    Hi mate,
no unfortunately mine is still in repair. A german transformer guy, spezialised on 18 Watt radiospares replica transformers and other marshall OT's called Ingo Gorges is still working, seems to be difficult :-( He told me that he allready made some changes but isn't sure wether that's enough. I don't know when he will finish this work/makeover. You are the third cageamp owner who told me that he has similar problems ....
    regards Thomas

    Thx for the reply mate!
Which one do you prefer the blackstar artisan 15 or the Mofo? I just wasn't happy with my valvepower cause, as we found out meanwhile, a capacitor in the Phase inverter section was broken, when I first received it. Steve repaired the cage amp in the meantime and now it sounds like:
(just click on the pic below..)

I'd say just the right amount of dirty overdrive - what do you think?

    Hi,
I would be very interested about your expereince with 18 Watt marshalls, cause by now I own two of them but had no luck so far...(bought them cause my 100 Watt JMP 2203 sounds good but is far far too loud-this beast throws out 180 Watt says my amp tech here in germany how replaced the tubes and added another ECC 83 and a boost option). The first one (18Watt) I bought hasn't a good Output Tranny...I'll try to replace soon. The second one had some kind of strange buzz/fizz or crossover distortion (seemed to double certain frequencies when cranked but others not-might be the so called Paul Ruby fizz) I don't know but I hope Steve will find out - just sent it to good old Surbiton/Greater London!
