Thank you so much for sharing your info. After seeing Tal Farlow's personal guitar, I became very intrigued by stinger headstock. Still a long way to go before starting the actual project. I want to gather as much info as possible so the build can go smooth. Thanks again.

Thanks for the kind words. The Stinger area was shot black before the Nitro & never received any Tung Oil. Just the lower part of the Neck & the Body. However I used an accelerated drying agent with the Tung Oil. I've got a link to a great video I'll see if I can dig it up.

Superb refinish on BFG. I am planning to build a lp, and gathering all the building finishing tips as much as I can. A question regarding your stinger finish. Did you spray black laquer on the back of the headstock after a few coats of clear or was it on after tungsol oil? Thanks in advance.
