Before you buy lollar P90s check out this guy in Adelaide;Brierley Guitar Pickups P-90 Page

He makes pickups fpr Ace/Monteaux and they are very highly rated on forums every bit as good as U.S pickup winders,maybe better? and cheaper,i'm ordering some humbuckers in the new year.

Also just bought a Fender Vintage reissue deluxe 40 watt tube amp with fx(this actually sounds like a Marshall with tube overdrive!)for $1580.
All the U.S forums are stunned at how good this amp sounds!and it's relatively cheap!

Cheers Ben,I actually tried out a couple of 56 RIs and coudn't get comfy with the neck,however this is because i just returned from Sydney after spending an hour at Jacksons rare Guitars where i played his Original 56 LP priced at 90K! the neck was brilliant ,original and definetely slimmer-check out his website for shocking prices!
Im now looking for a slimmer neck first of all maybe a 68 RI custom?

I also don't think the American guys understand how rigged the market is here for Gibson Les Pauls,i blame the distributer A.M.I (which has no competion by the way!) for monopolising the market with high prices and a take it or **** off mentality!
I actually played a Norlins custom at Mannys in Brunswick $ 3000 POS looking thing with mods and bashes etc BUT the neck was fantastic and it actually sounded amazing(could have been the Duncan pickups though!)

I was just reading your Norlins thread, bit touchy to criticism about Norlins!
I tend to agree with you in respect to price,there isn't much difference between a 70s LP and a USED Reissue in this country -between 4 to 5k .
Plenty of sellers ASK for 7,8,9,10k(Jacksons rare Guitars)but they sit there for a long time and are eventually negotiated DOWN.
I think the RRP on new ones is ****ing disgusting in this country,our dollar is worth over 90c to the U.S now and really should be on a par with U.S prices,i think its this type of profitering than forces up prices for used ones- Norlins included!

My message was too long last post!

I dont know of Real Guitars though i only use Mark because he works from his own workshop from home,shop techs tend to be always rushed to move on to the next job and aren't thorough enough for me particularly if you dont like the set up you will have to wait and waste more time,this guy will fine tune and alter on the spot:eg height of action/ etc if your not happy when you pick it up!(he.s very finicky about the quality of his work)!
