Thank you for the kind words. Hope to see you join one of the next group projects then.

Good luck with the debugging and be sure to start a thread on those builds !

Still have the amp and it sounds WAY!! better with the weber. The speaker is only +/- $30 so if you don't like it you haven't lost much. I don't know why you wouldn't like it better though.

I am building an amp and just bought 2 weber 10" speakers. I was planning on using the eights; but I have just enough room to squeeze in the 10's. Can't wait to get them!

Generally, R7's and R8's have the same necks, however, my R7 is not quite as thick as my R8. It's really hit and miss, and even then the differences are quite small. It's on an R9 or R0 where you really notice the change.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Yeah, the red staining on the binding is normal. Mine has the same, as do most other cherry backed R8's around that time. Apparently, after a few more years the red stain starts to fade back to creme, as the bleeding ages. Wierd, huh?!

    Best Wishes

Hey well my les paul has a tiny bit of bleed at the top near the headstock on the binding other then that it seems pretty much no blems or anything. Well I dont know where my COA is right now lol but if I remember correctly it was a stamped serial number and I think the model was written. I have all of the case candy still except for that COA that is somewhere in my guitar room lol. Well maybe your neck was played a lot? My guitars neck finish is fading a bit to orange from wear and use. I dont think that your COA is that odd guys at the gibson factory probabley like ran out of ink or something so they wrote it. Hows the modd in your blues junior? I love mine too im thinking of maybe putting some mercury transformers in it
