Hey Ken, was hoping for a little info, if you have a moment. I was thinking about contacting brett @ eddies guitars to inquire about an R8, and I remember that you recently got one from him. As you're in Airdrie & I'm in NW Calgary, I figure the cost would be about the same....just wondering if you could give me a ballpark as to how much it ended up costing you, as that would go a long way for me to figure out if I can afford it....btw, one of the guitars I would have to sell to make this work is an '83 LP Studio Standard Custom shop edition w/ Tim Shaw PAFs, if you know anyone in the Calgary area who would be interested...any info you could provide would be hugely appreciated!!!! thanks, Kevin.

That's my '92 Standard. Best guitar I've got, truth be told. It originally had all gold hardware, but I got a great deal here on used Phat Cats and can't part with them. So it's an interesting mix of "chrome" (still-shiny nickel, actually) and gold now. I think a gold Bigsby would match better, but be overkill.

I've been meaning to put it on there for months, but was procrastinating, and the guitar's already "too" heavy. But the Bigsby makes no discernible difference in weight.

I have contacted digikey about these caps and they are gonna get me a quote for a non stock item. Im pretty sure like you say the minimum order will be for loads and its gonna be way to expensive. You wouldn't think that trying to find a crappy ceramic disc cap would be so hard LOL. The quest goes on lol. Thanks for your help by the way!
