I'll post some progress images on my page, and put a thread together at some stage....pretty much assembled it the same way as you have.
Just a bit busy with a few other things I have to complete at the moment, so there'll be nothing more happening with it for a couple of months.

Wow Doug you are fast. That did not take long at all. Australia is far and I am glad it worked out well for us. I have another customer in Au who is starting a build but is not quit as advanced of a maker, he might need some help.

Keep us posted that guitar looks fantastic. Make sure you mock up your neck angle because the bridge height can vary depending on how much arch you might or might not have induced with the contour bracing. A straight edge on the frets, projected to the bridge should be 1/2 inch to the plate.

I've been meaning to get back here and thank you for the kit.....as you mentioned, all went well.

In case anyone is interested.
The contents were very well packed, and it took a little over a fortnight to get here, probably would have only been a week, if we hadn't had all the Easter public holidays to contend with.



Current state of play.
I didn't have time to put it together until a couple of weeks ago.
I still have to do the binding, that'll happen when I get round to completing it as a Guitar.

I am offering ES 335 bodies or ...drumrollllllll... body kits. This is a really interesting project for the clever DIYer or experienced luthier. Be patient for some phots and possibly a build thread to come soon. The 335 body kits will have all the parts to assemble a high quality, vintage style ES 335 body including laminated top and back plates with vintage correct veneers, maple center block, mahogany kerfing and tailblock, high grade spruce contour brace material. I will include a body outline to make your mold and will be compiling instructions soon.
