I was there today and the Gloss 57 Glodtop is still available. I would have gotten it if I haven't placed an order for another 58' Gloss. It plays really well and looks gorgeous.

At 25% off it's a pretty damn good deal if you ask me. I believe you could get it close to £2000+

did you play a 'non' VOS 57 Goldtop Darkack in the UK? I recently rang every dealer in the UK and i couldn't find a GLOSS one...so i bought a VOS 57 Darkback and gave it a good clean with Gibson Pump Polish instead! If you did find a GLOSS 57 Darkback...do you mind me asking where it was?

Mine is a great looking guitar...but when i cleaned the VOS finish off i noticed a couple of small factory flaws on the goldtop finish in the cut-away section...a fingerprint sized 'dimple' where a bit too much of the maple top was sanded down and some 'underlap' of gold finish along the binding in the cut-away area. But...it sounds lovely...i had the action lowered by a luthier and it plays so well...i am still a little annoyed about the slight flaws though...Gibson Europe emailed me back that it just shows that they are really handmade?!
