    Hey BB,

Yeah I've got my covers on perfect. At first they had the squeal but for some reason I pinched and pushed the bridge pickup and it stopped afterwards. No problems whatsoever and ascetically its very pleasing. Thanks for the tips they helped a lot~

The slugs are the metal exposed on the coil that doesn't have the screws.

Will Boggs uses fabric tape; it's the same stuff wrapped around the pickup. Double-sticky foam tape (available at Wal-Mart) will work as well.

I'm not a big fan of silicon, mainly because it makes it hard to remove the covers later.

Just put the tape along the slugs opposite the screws on the pickup--that should be enough. I'd try it with nothing first...they may be quiet as is.

hey thanks for that silcone tip. Was wondering if you could help me even more as I'm really new to this. I think i sent you an email msg with my wrong email address haha. For starters I don't have a clue what the slug of the pickup is (I'm guessing the top part of the coil?). Also that fabric tape interests me and I was wondering if i get that will i be covering a certain part of the pickup or just the top area where the cover connects? Sorry for all the questions. I just recently picked up a faded '08 standard and it had zebras on it and i wanted to install some nickel covers. Any help is appreciated and any pictures too! thanks
