My drumming is probably going to be full length tracks or acoustic loops... I used to mess around with software drum machines a lot, used to make electronic music.... but I dunno, I want something more organic sounding. I was never really that great at coming up with the structure of a song one pattern at a time either... it's so much easier in a live setting when you can "just tell" when the changes come.

Soo... structure is one of the things I struggle with. I'm more of a jam guy... I'd definitely be interested in some suggestions regarding structure when you hear whatever it is I end up throwing together... Thanks for keeping on my ass about this. I'll have at least SOMETHING to show soon... it may just be a tone demo or something, we'll see.

Oh so my point was I'm gonna stay up late recording some stuff tonight. Don't expect great tone though, I'll be using a shitty old Korg Toneworks pedal to simulate an amp/cab...

It's coming! I spent last night cleaning out the spare room and starting to get my equipment set up. I've got just about enough room in here for it to work.

I'll most likely stay up tonight as well, since I can't sleep worth a damn in this heat anyway. It hit 106 here yesterday!! Can you believe that shit? That's not Oregon weather!

Actually, the drumming is pretty good overall. I hate dealing with drums... Right now I'm collecting full length drum parts made with real kits, because I just don't like messing around with drum machines and sequencers.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I don't live very far from him, hell I've actually driven right by his place before I knew him. I just got an email from him this morning (maybe late last night), he is still doing well. I think was just feeling completely betrayed by Rich. Yeah, pisses me off too. I just got to know Jonesy, bought a shirt, bought an SG from him, joked around with him about coming up to see him, then this shit goes down. Other than the Jonesy factor, I didn't know or interact with Rich so it didn't affect me in any other way.
