Regarding the Bad Monkey... I really liked it for adding a bit of "warmth" to my little 20 watt Crate SS... and it actually sounded damn nice when paired with my VJ and an attenuator. For whatever reason, though, it sounds like ass to me with my Classic 30. I think the mid boost just doesn't jive well with that particular amp. And, like I said, the gain tone it puts out is just fake to me, works best with that all the way down and as a "transparent" boost (though it's not transparent at all). Like I said, the EQ pedal can provide at least as much boost and it's much more transparent. Perhaps I'll gut the BM and do something silly with it.
