    I was being facetious.

But only a little bit. I hardly watch TV at all. Maybe an hour or two a week. I find it intolerably vapid. Re the end of Lost and the Purgatory thing, that doesn't surprise me at all. I have no familiarity with the show except for 20 minutes of it I accidentally saw in a hotel in some ****ing city one night. It would be just sooooo in line with the hyper-religious political gestalt of the US right now that they'd wrap up this putrid sack of pus in some moralizing, religious claptrap. TV tends to be politically correct like that. It's no accident a ****ing ridiculous show like 24 is a big hit for the same reasons. Pandering, pandering, pandering...

Thank you, Jason. I appreciate that.

I just got home from Philly - the Clapton band played a 6:30 show, kicking off a town North of Philly's Summer Concert series. Big fun, long drive.

I got a day off, then a gig Friday night. And Saturday I mow my lawn. What a life.

Everybody's got their own "holy grail" of tone. A lot of guys go for Slash, or Gary Moore, or Pagey, or Hendrix. If I were going to try and sound like someone else I'd go for Setzer-tone.

I don't know for sure, but I think it's more the pitfall of the flimsy trapezoid tailpiece. I think that thing sucks so much sustain out of the guitar that it has that effect. There's almost no downward pressure on the bridge, which IMO hollows out the sound. I think it sounds best when you crank it clean and let the amp distort, it really warms up then and has a great tone, but I don't find it to be a terribly versatile guitar.
