sadly, humor and tolerance is often missing in those bitter discussions about what are in the end personal choices of the guy who paid for and owns the instrument.

Yeah, it makes me vanish too if I've poured a lot of time into one. So now I just glide in and out, not the poster I was. This place felt like a nice home some time ago. Not so much any more. Too much politics, and I often don't stop my self from reading the threads. Oh well, my bad. It just leaves a kind of residue that I can't shake off when I see the same posters in other threads.

No problem. It gets a bit dogmatic around here at times. Folks, all the usual suspects from both sides, trying to convince the other of various points. Sometimes ground is won or lost, and often the threads are shut down and someone banned!
I've kept out of so many recent threads. Paid my dues in a lot of threads that have been erased. So much effort in defending and supporting one's argument, then, Poof, gone. Oh well, it's all irrelevant fun I suppose, though the anger in the some posts is quite scary.
As to Cyrillic Joe, he's predictable, but not too wordy of late.
