Hi irocdave. I happen to love the VJ for both the pros and cons. To me, the pros are it's price and availability. I have the head version and I've powered a 4X12 with it pretty easily. It's also VERY pedal friendly. You won't ever hear me with one complaint about that amp.

Now for the cons...

I don't like the idea of a PCB board in it. And onboard, are a number of very generic, low-end parts the Epi threw into this amp. BUT, with all of that, it's STILL a kick-ass little amp. Which is also one of the things that I love about it. YOU CAN MOD THE HELL OUT OF IT!!! Get one for cheap and throw the Lite2B 18 watt mod in it. You wanna hear pure bliss??? That is the best mod out there for the EVJ in my opinion. Check out TWANG. He's a member here. I call him the EVJ guru. Look at his photo albums and you'll see why. Hope I answered your question.
