do u have experience w 100% solid acoustics?

I've heard that getting a 100% solid acoustic can cause problems becoz the solid sides are less durable than laminates, especially when the pickup is drilled into the side of the guitar.

I assume hairline fractures and cracks over the course of many years may occur in 100% solid acoustics.
