I just read an April thread where you commented on Bill Lawrence 609/610 pickups. You mentioned that they have a nice "quack" in the middle when used together. What I wanted to know was are you referring to 2 609's used together, or does the quack also occur when mixing a 609 and 610. I'm pondering getting a low-inductance set for my R9. I was thinking 2 609's, but may do a 610 in the bridge if it's still quacky in the middle

GMac - I just restrung my two "player" guitars last week. Yesterday I finally got my hands on some DR Pure Blues. Is it worth wasting a week-old set and restringing one of them?

I'm not concerned about the $6, I'm just one of those wankers whom it takes nearly an hour of time better spent practicing to change his strings.

thanks for hipping me to the Lawrence PUs....put them into the V and it is just outstanding...IMHO best PUs for that guitar and me....(strange concidence with the below visitor message?????....)
