    Hi Marcus,
I am not taking on any refinishing jobs at this time.
    Regards,

I am thinking about getting my Studio Faded LP refinished with a Gold Top and you were recommended. I was wondering approximately how much that would cost. Cheers

Yeah...there are some quirky things about the 11 rack. The one thing that really pissed me off when I first got it was that I wanted to run the XLR outputs to the PA when playing live using cab sims and effects of course. Simultaneously I wanted to send a feed to my stage amps only with the cab sim shut off (obviously since it's going through a real cab at that point)...but if you do that you can't have any effect that's downstream of the cab sim. Grrrrr!

I gotta laugh at myself for this: I've rehearsed with the Eleven Rack at least three times, and gigged it twice. Always with the front-panel Amp Out into a clean amp - small guitar amp for rehearsal, P/A for gigs. All this time, the output to Amp 1 was set to Amp Input - no amp or cab sim, no post-amp effects!

Duh on me, but it shouldn't have come defaulted to that configuration. I only figured out what was going on when I tried using Amp 2 for stereo.

Made a huge breakthrough by searching the Avid forums and getting this:

"Then go to Setup>I/O>Input Tab>click Default>Do same on Output Tab >OK."

I can now record! Still have to figure out playback, as it appears ProTools does not like my non-ASIO Alesis monitors, but I can playback through headphones plugged into the Eleven Rack until I get that figured out.

    Thanks for your help.

On a non-ProTools-related note, I was only listening to the Rack through one channel of my reference monitors. Got it running through both this afternoon, and Lordy be, teh toanz! I can feel the bass through the soles of my boots, without a hint of mud or "farting". I'm half-tempted to gig it through those little monitors.

Thanks for asking. I really don't want to pester you with this shit, as I'm sure the answers are out there on a forum, if not the Avid support pages (with which I'm not impressed).

It's low-level stuff, producing warnings that a track "does not have an active input and output assigned" even though the Playback Engine is set to "Eleven Rack", and the input for the track is pointing to that device. I use the popup menu to confirm the input device and... the Eleven Rack is not on the list.

This is with Win 7, btw. I can't even get PT to run on my Dell XPS running Win 8.

I consider it a shame that the DI, mic, line, etc. inputs aren't recognized by other DAWs (I'm used to MixCraft) - all you get is Stereo, Left, or Right. On a positive note, that'll push me to make PT work, but I think that's a poor marketing decision on their part, and a lot of folks on the Avid forums seem to agree.

I will endeavor to persevere, then.
