Thanks for the book tip. Vietnam is an interesting culture. Historically, the women work like dogs to support the families while the men hang out contributing little. This is a gross generalization, but accurate all to often. At true barter system. One woman sells rice to another who sells chickens to another who sell shoes, to another who sells rice. It's a huge circle. Don
Haven't tried Corvair mufflers. Borla and Flowmaster are the two I can remember. There is a third brand, but I've forgotten. Currently have Flowmaster. They are the quietest to date. They do restrict things a bit, but for street use they're fine. If I were serious about drag racing, I'd just dump the exhaust at the header collectors which are 3.5".
The Falcons Viper Red And the interior is red vinyl and pleats with a lot of chrome. Very vintage! No sound clips. I've been through about 3 or 4 different mufflers trying to get it quiet enough for street use, but it's still uncomfortably loud.
Always a pleasure to share stories with another 351C fan. I suspected it was the rocker studs. The BB Chevy stud conversion is common when running roller rockers.
Funny you should post a message today. Tonight I'm going to begin about two weeks work to get my Falcon back on the road. It's been sitting since the paint job. I hope to have the engine running by the weekend.
Thanks, man, I appreaciate it. It was something noone ever prepares for, for sure. (My Brothers suicide) I seem to have taken it ALOT better than the rest of my family, But, He and I have(had) always been closer to each other than the rest. So I figured it was his decision, so it must have been what he wanted to do. That's how I made peace with it, but it still hurts like hell knowing I can't just pick up the phone and call my lil Bro. Time heals all, and memories last forever. I have Good ones.
See Ya On The Forum, Bro.
Peace...
