About amps.
Man I have the Carvin dialed in and Im so very happy with it. I had all the puzzle pieces in place and it still wasnt quite there. Then I switched my cab over to 16ohms and whammo bammo the tone I was looking for. Honestly I dont think the V3 is as capable....its a jack of all trades but a master of none. Of course tone is subjective but I couldnt be more relieved, heck I wont start looking for another tone for at least a couple months haha.
I have the V3 as well and like the x100b better tone wise. yeah the distortion isnt tight but with a pedal it snaps right up. I had them do me one in bronco white and love the look as well.
Totally. It really runs the gammit. The ONLY reason Im not running this amp is I cannot get the seperation I want from my rhythm guitarist because he is also running one. I did run the 6260's for awhile but they kept breaking down at the worst times. The 333 series does not seem to have the same problem.
To get the same quality of sound Ive purchased a Carvin x100b series IV while it has alot of distortion Ive had to put a pedal in front of it to tighten the sound up. I had to buy a noise gate and a compression pedal last night to fix all the other junk noise...all to get back to where I was with the 333xl but with a different tone haha...
