Good morning, I recently bought an LP standard pro and I have never played. I do however enjoy the sounds a good LP and I bought this model hoping to get the traditional LP sound. I have been reading a little on the Bumble Bees and I wondered how much does that effect tone quality. In your opinion would you change these out? If I do so how much would it cost and where can I get some high quality ones? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I bought it that way, it was a '60 two pickup MM, somewhere along the way they routed the front pickup to fit a humbucker - it has a '57 Classic in it. I installed an SD lil 59 in the bridge. I redid the electronics, Switchcraft switch, 500K pots, NOS Vit Q cap.

It sounds fantastic, IMO with the thin body it's about the same as a vintage SG. For WAY less $

And one of the best necks ever.
