Just saw pictures of your Padouk guitar in a 2008 post and love the oil finish..did you grain fill? I am just starting one in same wood for my daughter and was looking at oil finish but didnt know if I had to grain fill and if so with what

Dino, I hope you don't mind me asking you a question. I recently purchased a used (but mint condition) OLP MM-1. I want to make sure that the pickup height is correct on it. Any recommendations on proper height for stock blk/wht humbucker pickups? I tried a Google search, but couldn't locate an answer...thanks.

Dino, are you still building guitars? You and I played together a bit way back in B-ville in the 80's (I'm a couple years younger and have the red and blue EVH/Schenker Frankenstrat you may remember. Also took lessons with your dad, if that helps ring a bell or two). Anyhow, I need some work done to that old baby including cleaning up the electronics and mounting the pickups directly to the wood (was always the original intent when I built it). I've seen your work here and am tremendously impressed. Would be nothing better than to trust that guitar with an old friend as well.

Loved your work on the OLP. I recently bought a red sparkle OLP on ebay that i want to stripe (just the top). I found a website that does the EB and EVH sig decals, but it looks like they don't have the (R) trademark on the EB decal : Other : Best-Decals.com, Your One-Stop Decal-Shop Where did you get your decals from? and what is your suggestion on replacing the stock pups with something not too expensive? - I'm really wantng to keep the zebra look on the pups.

This is my first project guitar so i'm likely to screw it up. I looked at some of the suggestions including the GFS ones, but to be honest i'd never hear of them before this forum.

What are your thoughts?
