    Hey Dino I just wanted to tell you I love your Standard Faded. It has got the best combination of red I have ever seen on a STD Faded, and If you could polish the finish to make it shine, It would be even better!

    Yeah ... no filler required, but you will need to use a sealer.
    I wouldn't use a damp cloth ... no need to raise the grain unless you're trying to remove dents, in which case you would need to steam them out.

    What type of paint will you be using?

    ive heard so many things about painting it. Do you mean seal it with the primer or seal it with _______ AND then primer?


    Ive heard that you should use 60,120,180,220,320 to prep body with wiping down with damp cloth to raise grain in between. thats what i have done. any other suggestions?

    Stew mac says i dont need to use a grain filler with basswood because it is a tight wood.
