I have a Yamaha SG from 1985-6 which has been a project of mine for years now. It remains partially sanded and naked. I do mean to finish it though, but I can´t decide how. I just want to let you know, if you don´t already, your guitar came out very nice looking and hopefully will get played. I hope my project comes nearly as good as yours.

    Cheers!

Hi! I just read the thread on your remaking of an Epiphone G400. First, congratulations, it seems you did a great job. Secondly, I was curious as to what happened to it, and if you play it from time to time. I´m considering a G400 and I´m reading up on them. Again, great job!

Yeah it was the longest we have ever been with out power here. Outage was wide spread, hopefully your in-laws will get their power back on today.

I've had luck google searching schematics. I had a site that was pretty informative, let me try to find it again.

With pickups like that in it, you don't NEED no steenking high-dollar guitars in your stable.

I don't regret trying nor keeping all these others. How else would I know there wasn't something better to be had? But I'm finally to the point of gigging, and the old MM is simply the best choice. Fewer knobs and switches to set wrong, light as a feather, every sound I need.

My new MM V will be just as ideal, once I get the frets lowered just a bit. They're too tall for my chord-fretting style - when I'm nervous.
