    Hi Csharp!
I'm a hapy onwner of i think a 1975 les paul standard. Factory routed mahogany 3 pic neck, transtenon neck. I wonder if you now any way check if it's made in Kalamazoo or Nashville. pot codes are 1377452 serial number is on a decale 99123554.
It doesn't matter to me if it's made in kalamazoo or nashville just curious.

Thanks, Charlie, I appreciate it. That supports the case that my bridge and knobs are probably original.

Thanks, Charlie, those pics give me a good idea of a lot of things. My truss rod cover is identical to yours, and mine, too, has that visible horizontal line across the maple top showing a probable 3 piece construction. My neck also appears to have lines running along its length, so mine isn't a 1-piece neck. That actually makes the neck more resistant to warping and stronger overall. I noticed that my bridge isn't original, either, although I must say, it is a good one. Were your original knobs like mine? Also, mine weighs in at 10 lbs 4 oz, what does yours weigh? I never knew how rare a 1974 Standard is, I always took this old pawnshop refugee for granted.

Hey Charlie,I noticed your post in my thread where I was trying to identify the year of my 1974 Standard, and you mentioned that yours was bought new.I bought mine used, actually I rescued it from a pawnshop over 25 years ago, and I have no idea how many previous owners there have been, nor how my guitar looked originally regarding the bridge, original tuners, etc. Would you be OK to send me some photos of yours? I'm particularly curious about the original bridge type and tuners. If you notice in the pic of mine, the bridge is also found on SG's,but I don't know if that's original or not. Also, I know that you happen to have the exact same type of tuners as I do.Those Schallers was *the* aftermarket tuner to have on your guitar back in the day, and I know from the filled holes behind my headstock that those weren't original. By the indentation outlines behind your headstock, I'm guessing that you had Klusons on there, no? I'd like to hear your thoughts, bye for now.
