J45 who is a member both here and on LPF, and who has owned the guitar, says that he did not know the story behind it, but he wouldn´t rule out that it was not all natural wear and a little help had been provided.

The wifey and I have, in the aggregate, spent over 6 months on your lovely island since 1990. We can't make it there in May, but will likely be in London in June on the way to see la famiglia in Italy. We'll stay a few days and venture about, perhaps to Yorkshire and the Lake District.
