Interesting pots. I think the vintage braided wire might add a bit of capacitance which may or may not be a desirable thing. When I use the pvc coated wire for switch leads it's 22 awg. Gibson used that heavier wire in the 70's but currently uses thinner wire more like 26 awg. Of course the Elec. Engineer types will tell us that it is so small a difference we can never hear it, but from your experience you know better.
