hahaha, it's true, I tend to avoid talking about my mom with girls I'm trying to woo

I'm about an hour from SF, so I can attest to the pricey-ness.

She probably didn't think anything of it...depending on what you wrote of course

Yea man, it's pretty much like, if you ever move out of California, you might not ever be able to move back. Unless you're well off to begin with, but for us lowly folk, it's damn near impossible.

SF sucks to be honest. The venues are cool, but even just driving around is a huge PITA.

Portland is my number one choice, though Austin could be fun too.

Portland is an awesome city, I was there a few years ago and loved it. I think I give big city's a bad rap just because the one I usually go to (San Francisco) is dirty as all hell.

    Good luck man!

We're are planing to tour this summer, once the season rolls around again.

We don't have a long term plan quite worked out yet. But we know that we will have to move to somewhere with a good music scene sooner or later. Right now 3/5's of the band is unemployed or just recently found a job, so money is a little tight, but we do plan to go somewhere. We've talked about Portland, Seattle, Austin, maybe even Nashville; somewhere with a good music scene and lots of places to play.

    It's a tough choice.

Yea, but theres like 2-3 places to play in-town, and our only real fanbase are our friends.

Though, when we played in San Francisco at a battle of the bands, we got 3rd place when competing with all the locals of that area. and then when we played there again at a club with those same bands (not a battle this time) most people came to see us. The city is the place to go, but unfortunately it's almost two hours away.

Just do it! You've got nothing to lose!

And yea, it kinda sucks living in a town like this. Not much to do and as you can imagine the music scene isn't very good.

No I have not. But pickings are slim in my town. I live in a really small town...the kind where almost everyone knows each other. :P

Yea, it is kinda wierd I guess. hahah. Whatever though, it's not like the girls are reading this :P

You're mom took pictures of her? thats kind of awkward lol. Was she like "hold still, I'm gonna take your picture to show my son?"

Not to dispel you from contacting her, I just think it's funny.

Yea man, whats gonna happen if she says no? You'll get a few moments of rejection and then continue on your way. You've never seen her in person right? If not, then you really got it made. Except for the starting point, you're gonna have to come up with something to start talking to her in the first place. :P

I've got a little more to lose than you just because we have a 'friendship' already established, but honestly, if she said no, or if it didnt work out I wouldnt really be losing anything since I never see her anyway.
