You're a good man, CB - I can tell that. Or can I?

Just two hours ago I offered an MLP member assistance whom I sensed was in need of some financial/logistical help. He/she turned me down; "can't accept that, thanks anyway".

I saw RMC1's crap coming from a mile away - the hair stood up on the back of my neck. Not 20/20 hindsight - just experience.

So I don't want to continue a public debate on generosity - because we're both right and we're both wrong. If one's instincts aren't good enough, one will get screwed. If they're too good, one will never know the joy of giving when it's the right time to give.
