Actually I just shipped my Slash VOS to a buyer. I hope he will enjoy it. For 3770 including shipping to Italy, he made a bargain as I paid about 5100... About the Derrig, yes it might look good, but I will not get caught again. No more Gibson signatures for me (I am happy that you like yours though, I have never tried the Slash Goldtop). Too bad, because I really liked the look of Joe Perry's Gibson boneyard guitar.
But, for my tastes, the '59 is the best. And I cannot get enough of the looks and the holographic 3D effect of the top..And it is so f$$%ng light. It was so light it threw me off at first, but I like 'em so much more like that.
As for the wah, I need to find a store that has the 404 in stock. I might end up just ordering it online otherwise. Thanks for the extra explanation. Take care

Thanks for the response. I had a 535Q, but too many sounds for me (that is hat is worrying me with the 404). I just want a good ah sound, not 1000...
The Slash VOS? Definitely not right for me: super heavy, not very resonant, neck that I do not particularly love,... The sound as alright. The VOS finish was a pain: I would not really play it because of anything tht could happen to the finish. Finally, I LOVE SLASH. My fvourite player by far. But this never ending line of sig. instruments is starting to be embarassing, especially when the VOS was offered with a leather jacket... Who does Gibson think VOS players are? Teenagers that like to dress like their favourite artists? Certainly not. Eventually the price for Slash VOS plunged..

Hi Calum. Nice '59. I have noticed your signature says you have a Wah 404 from CAE. I am thinking about getting either this one or a vox. Could you please give me your impressions. So far I have been very disappointed by the ah I have tried and need a good one for covers of Hendrix and Slash... Thanks.. Cheopsnet@gmail.com

Thanks, man! I'm uploading some new ones now, breaking down some of the song and playing it slow.

    Hope you like it!

I am OK with my Marshall for gigs, but could use something else for the house. Be interested in how your search goes - let me know what sounds good with your R9!

I can get good sounds from it at low volume. It has plenty of gain and sounds good clean too. Mine's a 100 watt, but you might be more comfortable with 50. They DO sound better cranked. They're monsters though. I've got to get an attenuator.

I am using a 100 watt Marshall Valvestate. It is pretty good, but I am tempted by a Vox AC30 - to get that rube sound. The Marshall suits my needs at the moment - loud enough for gigs and not too big to get around!
A mate of mine is selling his Marshall stack, if you are interested?
