Brown Recluse

You really know your Firebirds. I took it into my tech to set it up. I told him about the bridge pu and that there's something funny about it when playing past the 17th fret...it just loses sound or signal. This is my 3rd Firebird, second vintage one and I've played about 4 or 5 other vintage FBs and I've never see that before. Anyway, I'll pass on the suggestion to my tech. He about had a heart attack when I brought it in...he loves FBs....the apprentice tech wanted to polish the hardware and I almost had a heart attack. But my guy shook his head and told me that won't happen. They're just polishing up the frets, setting it up and cleaning up the jack. Can't wait to get it back. My buddy's a vintage dealer and he's looking for a period correct trem arm. I have no idea how I am going to get it to look like the rest of the hardware.....

Thanks for the suggestions for my Firebird!! The guys shipped it they way you suggested with the low e and a tuners removed. It needs a setup and my fingers had to to go into 4 wheel drive to bend the strings for all the corrosion on the frets. I am going to get them buffed. Anyway thanks again!
