Same amp - and LOUD for its size. I guess that it starts to break up around 4 or 5 - and I've quite honestly never had it turned up past 4.5 or so - even at unmic'ed gigs. I played an outdoor house party last night and was sitting at 3 or so. I have a Classic 50 4x10 with an additional extension cabnet (both a 4x10 and a 1x15) - and I've never "needed" it, and rarely take it out since the C30 is so convenient. I love that little amp. I got mine used for $350.

I'm excited. I can't wait for Christmas. Lol. We'll see how this surprise goes and maybe he'll get another for his birthday.

I live with my parents right now and he's over all the time so I'm going to slide the boxes under my parents bed since he never goes in there. I don't think I'm putting it under the tree either so he will definitely be surprised.

I hope so! I'm buying the guitar, case and probably strings so he can change them immediately. I've tried to do a lot of research because I want to get it right so I hope I've done good Lol.

I'm pretty sure I've decided on an Epi Standard Plus in either Honey burst or Vintage Sunburst depending on what the stock looks like. I'll probably be ordering it within the next 2-3 weeks. Why?

Oh definately! He was probably the most creative and ingenuitive guitarist of all time. He went from taking leads and solos to rhythm guitar haha
